Behind Hone + Harvest

Hi, I’m Emily.

Plant Eater | Writer | Dancer | Explorer

I created Hone & Harvest to be the hub of information and resources I wish I had when I started my vegan and sustainable living journey back in 2015.

And to be honest, in many ways I’m still on that journey.  Veganism, sustainable living and mindful travel isn’t about being perfect, it’s about doing the best you can with what options you have in the present moment.

On this blog, I combine my love of writing with my passion for plant-based living, travel, and mindful living to bring you easy-to-implement tips that have helped me over the years, or as I learn them myself. You’ll find simple shifts for making kinder choices at home and abroad, plus interviews and advice from other plant-based leaders, bloggers, activists, foodies and more.

I want to show you how veganism, making environmentally-friendly changes in your life, and adopting conscious travel habits can be easy, budget-friendly, and fulfilling.

“Don’t do nothing just because you can’t do everything.”

I truly believe that adopting a kind, planet-friendly lifestyle involves a holistic approach.

It could start on your plate, how and where you shop, or using zero-waste travel accessories. Wherever you start, it’s important to remember that every step, improvement, change or little win adds up and plays a part in helping your health, saving animals’ lives and supporting the future of this planet.

On Hone & Harvest I hope to provide practical, everyday advice and tips to get you started or help you progress on your journey – whatever that looks like for you.

Hi there, I'm Emily

Since going vegan over 5 years ago, I've been passionate about showing others how easy (and necessary!) it is to make kinder choices; from what we put on our plate, to the clothes we wear and companies we support. On this blog I share tips for going vegan, along with my own journey towards a more sustainable, zero-waste life at home and abroad! x
